Our Leadership

Hi! We are Coy and Brooklyn, the Pastors at Somos Church. In 2016 Somos held its first service. One year later we started renting our current building and in 2021 we were able to purchase that same building. We have seen a lot of changes but one thing has remained the same: WE ARE CHURCH. Somos is the Spanish word for “we are.” We are a Church FOR Lakeland and a Church FOR you. We exist to help uncover and support the God given value in every persons story.
What We Believe
We believe your story matters. We believe God wants to do a work in your life and through your life. We believe we exist as the Church to bear witness to the challenges and desires in your story. We believe we exist as the Church to encourage and support you to keep saying "Yes!" to the work God is doing in and through you. We believe we exist as the Church FOR you and FOR this Community.
What We Do
FOR Lakeland
We love our city and believe when the community wins, the Church wins. We focus on building up our city in three ways; Partnering with local schools, Supporting local businesses, and Participating in community initiatives and development. Join our FOR LKLD team below!
Somos Kids
Kids are important to us, so we’ve created a place where they can learn about Jesus on their level. Every Saturday & Sunday, babies through fifth-grade children experience safe, age-appropriate environments where the Bible is taught in a creative and relevant way.
Somos Youth
Every Sunday morning during service we provide a space for middle school students to meet and grow through our Middle School Ministry. During the week we invite students in 6th- 12th Grade to Youth Breakout where students can break away from home and school to break into small groups that will challenge and shape their relationship with Jesus.
Our Cultural Values
Our cultural values reflect our behavior and actions as we carry out our vision.

Believing we will do what it takes to help each other
